Buehler’s combines farming, fall fun at Touch-A-Tractor event 2016

Been curious about how it would feel to climb into the seat of a powerful tractor? Buehler’s Fresh Foods is inviting children of all ages to participate in their first Touch-A-Tractor event.

The event will include fun recipe cards; an ice cream social with Ruggles ice cream, which may be purchased for $1 each; fall decorations available for purchase; and complimentary samples of Hartzler’s chocolate milk and Gerber’s Amish Farm Chicken burgers.

Ruggles ice cream was founded in 1979. The brand is owned by SmithFoods Inc., which was founded in 1909 by John and Peter Schmid. Ruggles ice cream is made with the finest ingredients and freshest cream. It is available in a variety of flavors.

Hartzler’s Family Dairy dates back to 1952 when Harold Hartzler and his wife, Patricia, began their farm in Wayne County. They are a role model for farms locally, as well as internationally. Their successes with farming naturally have been accepted through The Ohio State University Sustainable Agriculture Program, as well as through international groups.

Gerber’s Amish Chicken also had its start in 1952 when Dwight and Melva Gerber began delivering fresh chickens to customer’s homes in their community. They have won several awards for their chicken enriched with freshness and quality.

Buehler’s understands what families want when it comes to quality food. Being a family-operated business, they understand the standard of freshness that people expect to feed their families. That’s why Buehler’s ensure that their locally grown products are traveling 50 miles or less to their store locations—to provide the best quality for their consumers. This grow local trend isn’t going away any time soon, and Buehler’s is proud to be part of it.
