Family owned E & H Hardware Group is in the process of finalizing details to open a second ACE Hardware store in Canton, Ohio at 6548 Middlebranch Ave. N.E., in May 2015. The store is currently a True Value Hardware, and will be converted it to an Ace Hardware store.

Tom Burke (pictured), current owner and well known businessman, has decided to retire after a 30 year hardware career. Tom started in the hardware business in Green, Ohio in 1985. A few years later in 1987, Tom moved to the Canton location, where he has been located for 28 years.

“I’m reminded of the wonderful employees and supportive customers that have been a part of this business throughout the years,” reminisced Tom Burke. “I will truly miss the daily interaction with employees and customers.”

On the flip side, Tom is looking forward to retirement and enjoying the time he will spend with his children and grandchildren. The current True Value Hardware inventory will be liquidated and the store fixtures will be sold. The liquidation sale will run Tuesday, March 17 through Saturday, April 18, 2015.

In May, the new ACE Hardware store will be updated with interior painting and flooring, new display fixtures, counters, and improved exterior lighting. Departments will be expanded, including; lawn and garden, outdoor power equipment, builder’s hardware, electrical, housewares, and tools. A full service paint department will offer Valspar, Clark & Kensington, and custom color match paints. The plumbing department will feature pipe cutting and threading.  Other services include screen repair, glass cutting, key cutting including automotive chip keys and automotive entry key fobs, propane fill, Bissell carpet Machine rental, full service Uhaul truck rental, and a UPS drop station.

A unique gift department with home style gifts and collectables will be highlighted. The store will feature many name brand products: Wooster Brush, Toro mowers, Craftsman tools and power equipment, Weber grills, GE and Feit LED light bulbs, Scott’s Miracle Grow, Ortho and many more.

Additionally, online shopping will be available through ACEHardware.com with the opportunity to choose from 70,000 products and free shipping from the store. Online shoppers may also choose to purchase from the store’s current inventory for immediate pick-up.

Watch for future information on an official May ACE Hardware opening date. Store hours are slated to be: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday.

Buehler’s Fresh Foods Offers Spring Coho Salmon All Year

Buehler’s Fresh Foods Seafood Department is pleased to offer customers Spring Coho Salmon twelve months out of the year. Once a seasonal product, the year round availability is attributed to breakthrough research and sustainable practices developed by nationally renowned partners, and spearheaded locally by Homestead Springs Farm in central Ohio.

Coho Salmon, typically found in northern Pacific waters, can be raised in the largest spring fed aqua culture farm in Ohio. With 1,000 to 2,000 gallons per minute generated from the natural spring, this pure clean water is perfect for raising Spring Coho Salmon. Due to revolutionary natural procedures, the salmon are convinced they are in the “smolt” cycle, thus eliminating the need for them to migrate to salt water.

This delicate tasting Spring Coho Salmon has no antibiotics, no hormones, and raised in pure spring drinking water. The Spring Coho Salmon diet is sustainable, as well, with a custom mixed to order feed of 40% vegetables (among the highest in the industry), and less than 28% fish bi-product and oil (among the lowest in the industry).

Because this is a local product raised on a family farm, Spring Coho Salmon is fresh – never frozen – to Buehler’s customers. The salmon can be in the water one day and in Buehler’s Seafood Department the next. You cannot get much fresher than that!

“We are fortunate to have Spring Coho Salmon in our backyard,” stated Dan Shanahan, President, and COO of Buehler’s Fresh Foods. “We think our customers will appreciate the natural farming methods and the sustainable qualities of this salmon.”

Buehler’s Fresh Foods is celebrating 86 years as a family-owned and operated supermarket. Industry peers and officials have given recent recognition to Buehler’s accomplishments by awarding: 2014 Retailer of the Year (Cleveland Food Dealer Association), Ohio Business Profile (Jon Husted, Ohio Secretary of State), Resolution – food and agriculture (John Kasich, Governor of Ohio), and Progressive Grocer Independent’s 2015 Outstanding Wow Award.
